Can be done alone or in conjunction with a massage. Stretching helps move tendons, ligaments and move muscles. The horse must be warmed up prior to stretching.

Used for healing, scars, more superficial concerns. Light therapy also helps with arthritis like the cold laser but is for more sensitive animals or areas.

I learned of holistic ways of helping with pain, movement, range of motion and mobility in general after being diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. There was a time I was not able to get out of bed due to the amount of pain I was in. Fast forward several years later and my therapy dog, Maya, was diagnosed with a spinal disease that literally was disintegrating her spine. I took her for acupuncture, red light therapy, stretching and massage to give her a quality of life while she was here with me. I was able to provide her last few months more pain free than she had been in a while - and the proof was that she was acting like a puppy again!
